CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — A 17-year-old girl suspected in a stabbing is now in custody, said Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Jay Baker.
Vanessa White is accused of stabbing a woman at a home on Williamsburg Lane.
Baker said White is an acquaintance of a child that lives at the house were the stabbing occurred.
The victim was stabbed twice in the back, investigators said. Her injuries were said to be non-life-threatening.
Officials said a motive for the stabbing was unclear, and that they were speaking to the victim at an area hospital.
Investigators used dogs to search for the teen.
