GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — After a week without an arrest, a man accused of setting a teen on fire was arrested early Tuesday.Joseph Raymond J.R. Zeock, of Woodstock, is charged with first-degree cruelty to children, false imprisonment, solicitation of sodomy and aggravated battery. The 61-year-old was on the run after attacking a 17-year-old on July 12, Woodstock police said.
Officers interviewed the victim at Grady Hospital, where he was being treated around 9 p.m. after the attack. He told police Zeock promised him money in exchange for performing sex acts, police said.
When the two met up at the Suburban Lodge in Woodstock, the victim said he was bound, gagged and set on fire, police said. They said Zeock left after the incident.
Norcross police later received word that Zeock may be staying at the All Around Suites on Medlock Road in Norcross. Officers found him at the hotel and arrested him. Zeock was taken to the Gwinnett County Detention Center.
