CLEVELAND – An Eighth District Ohio Court of Appeals panel on July 7 upheld a trial court ruling that denied a professional football team’s motion to compel arbitration, agreeing that a player’s personal injury claims stemming from a rehabilitation program were not subject to the National Football League Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) (LeCharles Bentley v. Cleveland Browns Football Co., No. 95921, Ohio App., 8th Dist.; 2011 Ohio App. LEXIS 2869).
