ATLANTA — Metro Atlanta’s public transportation system is holding public hearings this month on how to address overcrowded bus routes.
The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority, known as MARTA, will hold meetings March 21 and March 24 to get residents’ input.
The changes could include restoring a shuttle service running from Underground Atlanta in downtown to Turner Field for Braves games. The shuttle was cut last year to address a budget shortfall.
Following the hearings, the MARTA board will vote March 28 on changes to bus service. Any bus changes approved would go into effect June 18 and the Braves shuttle would resume when baseball season begins in April.
