GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Authorities say a 45-year-old Hall County man is dead after a 25-foot fall from a deer hunting standing.
Hall County Sheriff’s Office officials haven’t released the man’s name. They say he had gone about 200 yards behind his home to set up the stand for a future hunt.
Col. Jeff Strickland says the man’s brother went to look for him after he didn’t return for a time. His body was discovered shortly after 2 p.m. Monday.
Police believe it was accidental.
Last week, a 62-year-old White County man was injured after falling from a deer stand.
