CAMDEN, N.J. – A woman suing over injuries she suffered in a car accident allegedly caused by a drunken driver is entitled to seek punitive damages, a federal judge in New Jersey held July 21, denying the defendant’s motion for partial summary judgment on the claim because a jury could conclude that she “willfully created a serious risk of harm to others” (Patricia Hipple and Charles Hipple v. Tami L. Harron, 09-2892 [RBK/AMD], D. N.J.; 2011 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 79449).
