CHIGAGO – The First District Illinois Appellate Court on June 30 affirmed summary judgment for the defendants in a medical malpractice action, concluding that the plaintiff failed to file her complaint within the two-year statutory period even though she thought her mother’s death was the result of medical negligence (Theresa Dixon, et al. v. Roseland Community Hospital, et al., No. 1-10-0595, Ill. App., 1st Dist.; 2011 Ill. App. Unpub. LEXIS 1623).
