ROANOKE, Ala. — Two Randolph County men sought in a fatal shooting are in custody, one of them in Georgia.
The Randolph County sheriff’s office said 49-year-old Alan Truman Higgins turned himself in Tuesday night at the Roanoke Municipal Courthouse, where he was charged with capital murder in the death 57-year-old Roger Bailey.
Bailey, of Omaha, was found dead in a pickup truck Monday near Roanoke.Gregory Dendinger, a sheriff’s office investigator, said 38-year-old Herman Roosevelt Green Jr., who also was wanted in the shooting, was picked up in Douglas County, Ga. on probation violation charges.
Dendinger said investigators from Randolph County will interrogate Green in Georgia.Dendinger said Higgins’ truck was found in Carroll County, Ga. and a weapon that may have been used was found Troup County, Ga.
