BARNESVILLE, Ga. — Three men are in custody following the brutal slaying of a Gordon College student.

Barnesville police told Channel 2 Action News reporter Richard Elliot that the three men burst into a college house party Saturday night and tried to rob the 10 to 12 people there, but something went wrong.Danavan Bussey, 21, of Millegeville, lived at the house on Westchester Drive as he attended college.

According to Barnesville Police Chief Chuck Keadle, one of the suspects shot Bussey in the face with a shotgun. Bussey was rushed to an area hospital, where he died.

On Sunday, police arrested 17-year old Shameik Spinks; 21-year old Lekievius Eleby and 20-year old Bryce Smith. All three men are charged with robbery and murder.
