Authorities say three suspects are in custody following a home invasion and chase in Cherokee County on Monday. Police say the armed intruders burst into a home on Amylou Circle in the Riverside subdivision in Holly Springs at around 2 a.m.
Police say that the residents of the home reported that two of the suspects broke into their home, and forced them to lay face down on the floor with their hands behind their backs while the they searched the home.
One woman at the home was injured when one of the suspects struck her in the head during the incident, according to police.
They say responding officers chased one of the suspects, identified as Andra Westmoreland, to Ridgewalk Parkway and Ford Parkway where he ran into stop sticks, and crashed at the intersection.
The other suspects, identified as Sharece McCowan and Damon Johnson, Jr. were apprehended at around 7 a.m. following a traffic stop.
The Cherokee COunty Sheriff’s office assisted Holly Springs police during the incident.
