Atlanta Paralegal

April Manning

April began her legal career as an Army Paralegal in 1990.  Her military occupational skill focused on legal studies and her duty assignments consisted of Seoul Korea, Fort Hood, TX, Fort Stewart, GA, Pusan Korea and a deployment to Saudi Arabia for Operation Vigilant Warrior.  As an Army Paralegal, April worked in several legal departments including criminal law, trial defense, claims, legal assistance and administrative law where she was able to not only assist soldiers but also their dependents with an array of legal issues.

After 12 years of service April ended her military career and moved to the Atlanta area where she later received an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies and a paralegal certificate from Clayton State University.  April’s career as a civilian paralegal started at Clark and Washington where she worked as a legal assistant in the personal injury department until the personal injury section of the firm closed doors in 2005.  April started working as a paralegal for Randy Scott Slater, P.C and has been with the firm for over 12 years.

April now works under the supervision of Attorney Jonathan W. Johnson.  Over her tenure with the firm April has assisted clients through every aspect of their personal injury cases stemming from minor impact cases to catastrophic death cases.  What she enjoys most about her job as a paralegal is being able to assist clients through the process and seeing the relief and satisfaction they get when a case settles.
