ST. LOUIS – The Eighth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on July 6 remanded a loss of consortium claim filed by the husband of a woman injured while shopping at the defendant’s retail location, noting that it was unusual for the trial court to award a higher amount of damages to the uninjured spouse (Paula Kingman, et al. v. Dillard’s Inc., No. 10-2636, 8th Cir.; 2011 U.S. App. LEXIS 13670).
