ATLANTA — Atlanta police said officers are talking to three men who may have forced their way into a southeast Atlanta home and sexually assaulted a woman.
Paramedics brought the woman to the hospital. Because she is the victim of a sexual assault, Channel 2 Action News chose not to identify the hospital or the exact location of the home invasion.Police said the assault happened early Tuesday morning as a man was arriving home.
The victim told police that three men forced him inside with guns, then separated two men and one woman in the home into different rooms.Police said the woman was then sexually assaulted.Police told Channel 2 Action News reporter Kerry Kavanaugh at the scene that thanks to a good description of the gunmen and their car, officers quickly spotted a matching vehicle with three men inside.
“Another zone spotted a vehicle matching the description and pulled the vehicle over. Those suspects have been detained and are being debriefed to determine if they are the suspects involved in this incident,” said Capt. Van Hobbs of the Atlanta Police Department.
Police said the gunmen also stole a computer and cell phones.Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477). Callers can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward.
